Tax returns.

The info-aware tax return intake. Pick the client's opportunity and year, run the intake, and the Tax Facts Sheet builds itself from Mercury and last year's return, auto-read. Existing clients are never asked for what we already know. Mercury is read-only; nothing is sent to anyone.

1 · Client & year

Search the Connective opportunity (e.g. "Hartas"). The OneDrive folder is worked out from the opportunity name; override it below only if the folder is named differently. For couples with per-person TAX folders you will be asked who the return is for.

2 · Run

Run intake builds the year's Tax Facts Sheet: Mercury details plus last year's return auto-read (payers, deduction lines, rental properties, business schedule, health cover, spouse). Every recurring item becomes a "this year's amount?" prompt. The ATO pre-filling report reads itself the moment it is in the year folder - just press Refresh below (or run the intake) and the sheet fills. Preview handover builds the workpaper and shows the exact pack the accountant gets - keying tables, gaps first, attachments - right on this screen. Happy with it? Send to accountant files the versioned workpaper AND emails the pack to Calvin with a two-way page: he downloads the receipts there and returns the prepared draft ITR on the same page (it files itself and the team is pinged with /senddraft ready). TFN, bank details and the pre-filling report never travel by email.

Flow: sign-up logged Mercury and raised the upfront draft invoice (business packages in FYNC, individual returns in FyncX) → Run intake → fill gaps below as answers come in → new clients: collect TFN securely, then a human downloads the ATO pre-filling report into the year folder and presses Refresh → Preview handoverSend to accountant delivers the pack to Calvin (and offers a FyncX draft for anything not yet invoiced) → he returns the draft ITR via his pack page → /senddraft for the client signature. Lodgment stays human, always.
